No workouts today. Took the day off to let my legs rest up a bit. Did go to the gym this morning for a one-hour sports massage, which was really good. There were a lot of knots and trigger points in my back and my hips are really tight. The masseuse gave me some tips on how to do some of this stuff at home (it's too expensive to get it done on a regular basis) so I can stay on top of the muscle tightness before it becomes problematic. He recommended putting two tennis balls into a sock and tying the end off, leaving ~1" gap between the balls. With this you can massage the spinal erector muscles by laying on the sock and moving over it. I've also used the extra tennis ball to massage my glutes and hips, putting as much of my body weight on it as possible.
Took advantage of the nice weather by washing both my car and my girlfriends car, removing the last vestiges of winter salt, and cleaning the interiors of both cars. It felt really good to be outside in the fresh air without a heart rate strap around my chest.
